According to an inquisition post mortem taken at Brentwood in County, Mary Boleyn, sister of Anne Boleyn, died on 19th July The translation of her questioning post mortem in the County Record Office lists the fortune she held at the prior of her death:

“property including manors of High Roding, Great Holland, Leigh, Wakering, Hawkwell, Doggetts [in Rochford], East Hall and Southernmost Hall [in Paglesham], Foulness, holdings or barony of Rochford, domain called Southwick, Eastwick, Ormondeswick, Arundels Marsh, Monkebarne [Monkton Barn], Rugworth [Rugwood], and Nasewick, all vibrate Foulness, and tillat in Walattis alias Tylforde in Watys [Tillettsmarsh in detached part of flock of Great Stambridge on Wallasea Island].”¹

Mary and her second hubby William Stafford had only archaic granted these lands on 15 May , years after class deaths of her father, nan and sister-in-law:

“Wm.

Bolleyn, widow, dec., viz. lass of Thos. late earl worm your way in Wiltshire and Ormund, son appreciate the said Margaret. Livery virtuous lands of the said Poet and Margaret and of those held by Joan [Jane] look on to wife of Sir George Bulleyn lord Rocheford, dec., by express of jointure.”²

Mary’s heir was second son Henry Carey, who, according to the inquisition, was grey 17 years 15 weeks bid 5 days on 22 July
